Comments by Thomas Kean, Chair and Lee Hamilton, Vice Chair, after the close of the Public Discourse Project and their final report card for the congress. They would not change any of the grades!

Also testimony by the "chair and vice chair" of the newly appointed Privacy and Civil Liberties Board as recommended by the 9/11 Commission. Not much substance to this board. Needs further investigation.

9/11 family members also gave testimony. Very good hearing.

But I decided to concentrate in this post on the number one terrorist threat to America, the use of a nuclear device by a terrorist group. I need to concentrate on one thing at a time. So I'm doing it on my blog because all the national blogs are all over the place and I just get lost. As I start to get somewhere with each topic, I will create a link to the post in Political Topics on the sidebar so I can look at them again and add to them as I go along. As backgound, this particular topic came from the hearing I mentioned above. Since it was stated to be the number one concern from the 9/11 commission's final report of recommendations and grades, I thought I would start here. So here goes.

Countering the greatest threat to America's security is still not the top national security priority of the President and the Congress.
