Eventually all the political stuff will be moved to Desert Musings, but I wanted to post this here before I misplace it. I watch CSPAN a lot, but lately the archived videos kept timing out. Did some research on the net, and found these instructions (no luck at RP Customer Service). Since I did this there are no more problems playing CSPAN videos with the Real Player.

Open RP (Real Player).

On the Tools menu, click Preferences.

Click on Network Transports.

Click the Manually configure connections settings check box.

Click the RTSP Settings button.

Click to clear all boxes except Attempt to use HTTP for all content, then click OK.

Click the PNA Settings button.

Click to clear all boxes except Attempt to use HTTP for all content, then click OK.

Click OK, and restart the player.
