Consider It Done!

Got my taxes done last night. I finally e-filed. It was free, linked to a company from the IRS site. I was stressing a bit about it. But it was easy and fun.

Thought I would relax yesterday. No chance. Had to completely rearrange my computer to get the printer cable to reach. Thought I might as well clean and dust, too.

Then the water heater stopped working. Down on my hands and knees four times to try to keep the pilot lit. No chance. Calling the gas co. in a little while. Probably it is a thermocouple (sp). Now, the problem is, in a new place, who do you call.

I'll relax in a little bit and spin the Shetland Moorit. The roving is very fluffy compared to the others. When it is plied and washed it really expands. Comes out bulky weight.

Moved a bunch of big old rocks around. The little area by the patio cover will be a grassy area. Couldn't remove the rocks, too heavy, so I just rolled them around into a pleasing arrangement. Well, it pleases me. Wonder how grass will do here. Made some room on the rock walk for some chairs and a little table and for some big clay pots.

The printer works great. Printed out some of the 9-12 grade recommended literature lists from the California Dept. of Education site. Then I searched the library catalog for the books. Only found a few at Needles, but plenty of them in the Inland Library system. The young adult section is pretty small. Only one computer, I think, in the homework assistance section. Never see anyone on it. But there are a few teens coming in. Maybe I can help out there. These are the kids we really want to be good readers. They are so close to adulthood and all those responsibilites. Need to hook them on reading now. Will have to see what they want me to do. The librarian seems a little skeptical about the Library Technology program. I'm taking her a brochure. I'm going to continue taking the classes because they will be online and are profitable. Too far to drive to San Bernardino. Not sure what I am going to end up doing, but I'll press on, because I feel it is important. Afterall I can't just spin my life away. Ha. Hmm, maybe I can!!!!!!!

Well, I am off to take a cold shower. Yuck!!!!
