I went to the first meeting tonight. I had a wonderful time. Everyone was so friendly, made some new friends already. I can tell a lot of them are very knowledgeable about rocks and minerals and they seem to go on really neat field trips. I know this is the group I was looking for. We watched a video on hunting for fossils. They had a nice meeting and I got invited to my first potluck. They will vote on my application to join next month. That will be the last meeting until Oct., then the fun begins.
Going to call the district in the morning and set up an appointment to go over my application to substitute. Plus I went to the dentist this morning for my first impression for you know what. Ha. I'm off now to spin the emerald green roving. Will post soon again at Desert Fibers.
