Went to Needles Gem and Mineral Club last night. Yikes, people are reading my blog. Oh, well, it's my personal stuff, but it's how I feel, so that's that. The class on wire-wrapping was very informative. Definitely something I will explore on my own. Probably I'll see if I can get supplies at WalMart. Tee hee. Met a really cute gal who is going to email me stuff to consider putting in the newsletter. Told everyone I needed everything by the meeting time for the newsletter and that worked pretty good.
They probably don't get I'm on a fixed income and I do the newsletter when I have the bucks to do it. Sometimes it is food or the newsletter and I guess you can figure out which one wins. And gas is not that cheap either. Just have to go on my outings when the gas money is there.
Didn't feel a bit good. But I went to the meeting; thought it would freak them out if I didn't. I guess I have the flu. Probably gave it to the entire club!
Watched Gore's speech at Constitution Hall. It was on CNN Pipeline and just saw it by accident. The video is in CSPAN archive if anyone is interested. Ended up on a Gore - 08 forum. I don't know how I get into this stuff, but there you are. Lots of fun reading and chatting about politics, like I have a clue.
As I promised, here are the books in my pile:
Plan of Attack, (you know about)
Inside the Wire, (Guantanamo)
Bush at War, (thought I should backtrack to this book)
First In, (CIA covert operations in Afghanistan, haven't any ideas what these guys really do)
The Kite Runner, (about Afghanistan, fiction, finished and posted review, outstanding book)
Understand Iraq
and Sandstorm, (policy failure in the Middle East)
Just requested a book on budget deficits and how to fix them. Oh, please!
I'm sick. cul
