Decorating Grownup Hippie 1960s Mature

Here is the cactus all trimmed and ready for a new season. It is a lot taller, but I cropped the photo so the street ugly wouldn't show.

I was thinking it would be fun to do two acrylic paintings of cactus flowers and put them on the rock wall. They would have to be sealed and I would paint on masonite. However, no truck so I'm stuck. :>(! Be sure to notice the cobalt blue!

There are lots of ideas and links at this site. I went there because I was scratching my head. Now what was the 1960s like?

I decided to start all over by photographing what I already have and then decide on a color scheme. So the retro blue and green room is in the trash. Well, not really. There were some nice things that I will save in an idea file and post.

These cobalt blue and emerald green tiles are around the front door. Trust me those are the colors.

This is green.

This is blue.

Since the sofa is neutral, I was thinking of using some of these designs from a vintage fabric piece for throw pillows made of felt. I'm thinking sticking to the main colors, but with a background of a red brown and maybe a touch of red orange. I need to add a little grey, because of the afghan that is almost finished.

Meanwhile I'll take some pictures and keep you posted on my progress.

Decisions now made. Throw pillows purple and fushcia and gray. Get purple pads for the chairs. See Jo's store for irridescent fabric for pillows.
